AIRBORNE MUSEUM.

Airborne Museum, Sainte-Mère-Eglise 50480, France.

Reworking of the permanent exhibition in 2021, in the C-47 building and additions to the permanent exhibition in the Operation Neptune Building.

The Airborne Museum management decided to renovate the C-47 building to create a new visitor route. The objective of the renovation was to create a more practical route and to meet the demands of visitors by modernising the cultural mediation tools through a variety of devices. This new route had to provide clear reference points in order to encourage imagination in the visiting public.

Each theme is presented by an individual character acting as a memorial witness.

Humanisation is at the heart of this project, helping to project the visitor back to 1944 through the integration of realist sculptures. The installation of these characterful sculptures adds meaning to the collection and enhances the overall aesthetic of the exhibition.
